Literacy - Punctuation

In Room 5 we were doing a D.L.O (Digital learning object) about the basic punctuation, here is my poster.

My learning goals for the month.

Term Four, 28th October. My learning goals: Math: Learn Algebra, get to level 9 in basic facts. Reading: Be able to pronounce longer words and/or become more confident in reading long paragraphs. Writing: Push my self to write bigger and better stories. Inquiry: Finish my "Wild West Coast" slide.

The other day, A few elders came to our school and talked to us about success. At the end we received a few pieces of paper that had a list of things we could do instead of being on our bottoms all day. My Friend Peter and i chose the "selfie" one. So here it is.

Year 7&8 Ski trip.

On the 10th of August, Some of the Year 7&8's went on a Ski trip at Porters Ski field.

It started out really boring for a LOT of people. After about 30 minutes to 1 hour later, everyone was having a ball. The group i was in got to go onto the intermediate after our 20 minute session with the Instructor. Later on at around 3 pm, i got to go on Advanced with Miss Devlin, Jack Fayan and myself. I was terrified just looking down the slope. i got over it and i just went for it. i bailed about 4-5 times on the first half. Then i got the hang of it in the last half of the slope. Aiden and Peter both really wanted to go onto advanced but they didn't have enough time to show Miss Devlin OR Mrs J that they could go down intermediate without falling over.
We got there at 9:45 pm ish and left at 4:30 pm. IT was a very very nice experience. -Marshal

Clock tower argument.

Here is link to our work on our clock tower in Grey mouth. It tells you what we were doing.


The main reason we done this slide was because a few people in my Class didn't like were the clock tower is. So Reuben, Peter and i made a slide about it and we it should get moved.

My propaganda.

WW1 is the so called “The Great war” It took place in Europe. It started at  28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1918.More than 70 million military personnel, including 60 million Europeans, were mobilised in one of the largest wars in history.Over 9 million combatants and 7 million civilians died as a result of the war.When the war was over, if you got given a white feather..That means you’re a Coward and too scared to fight for your country
